Which boots are suitable for the stable?
Stable boots for horses are a good solution for horses that kick against the walls of the stable, that are on box rest because of an injury or that often get cast. Stable boots that protect the horse against injuries in the stable are usually thickly padded, quick-drying and breathable at the same time. Since they remain on the horse's leg for a long time, the material of the stable boot should also be elastic and supple so that it adapts to the horse's every movement to prevent blood congestion or friction.
During periods of box rest, the reason for which may be tendon injury, for example, some stable boot styles can be used for therapeutic purposes. Depending on the material, these have either a cooling or warming effect. This is a particularly useful application before or after training, either to prepare the tendons for the strain or to regenerate them afterwards. Still other types are used in regeneration and therefore have magnets or ceramic fibres. For more information on how boots can be used in therapy, read our guide on the subject.
Our range includes anatomically shaped boots that are both supple and hard-wearing. Our boots are made of soft chloroprene rubber to make them flexible. Spacer fabric ensures sufficient air circulation under the boot, which prevents heat build-up that can damage tendons. Leg wraps or removable bandage pads are incorporated in some designs to ensure complete protection for the horse.

Travel boots are a necessary piece of equipment when the horse has to be transported in the trailer, for example to a competition or to the veterinary clinic. On the winding journeys, the horse has to balance itself and make sidesteps. In doing so, it can get caught on the trailer walls and injure itself. Therefore, the tendons as well as the sensitive joints must be protected and padded.
Travel boots extend from above the knee or hock joint down to the ground. This covers the joints, as well as the coronet and the heel bulb. The boots are fastened securely to the leg with several Velcro fasteners. They are thickly padded and anatomically shaped. You should note that there are different boots for the front and hind legs.
For increased wearing comfort, soft edgings and moisture-absorbing and breathable materials are recommended.
