Which leg protection is best for my horse?
We offer boots, bandages and hoof boots to protect your horse's sensitive legs and hooves. Choose the right leg protection for your horse:
- Boots
- Fetlock boots
- Bandages & Leg Wraps
- Bell boots & over reach boots
- Stable & Travel Boots
- Therapy boots
The harder outer shell of boots and fetlock boots cushions possible impacts against the cannon bone when the horse hits a jump pole during show jumping. Bell boots can also be used in the show jumping or as protection for the bulb of the heel of horses that like to overreach (step into their front legs with their hind hooves).
To reduce the risk of injury from kicks, cuts and other injuries during transport or loading and unloading, it is advisable to protect the horse's legs with travel boots. Some horses need to heal from an injury, such as tendon injury, and therapy boots can sometimes speed up recovery. If a leg injury or swelling does occur, cooling boots can help. In the case of spavin or arthrosis, hock boots or heat boots can help to relieve pain. The dressing materials for wound dressings can be comfortably fixed with an adhesive bandage.
Which hoof protection does my horse need?
Hooves form the basis of the horse's locomotor system and therefore require special care. To protect the hooves from premature and irregular wear, hoof protection is beneficial. There are two ways to do this: You can shoe the horse with horseshoes or put hoof boots on a barefoot horse.
In our shop you will find equipment for shoeing as well as different types of hoof boots. Our range is rounded off by hoof care products that can support the horse's hoof health.
In our hoof boot range you will find a selection of all-terrain hoof boots that protect your barefoot horse from sharp stones and thus counteract premature wear or breakage of the hoof wall. Hoof boots are a great help for hacking in the countryside with unfavourable paths or for sensitive horses. No matter what your requirements are and whether you have a pony or a heavy horse, hoof boots for different requirements are available in numerous sizes.
In our shop you can also buy various types of medical hoof boots that you can use in the event of a hoof injury to prevent dirt from getting into the wound or to prevent a hoof bandage from coming off. Many owners of leisure or sport horses like to do their own hoof care to correct irregularities in hoof wear. Therefore, our range includes hoof rasps, hoof knives, shoe pullers, hammers and hoof nails. For the winter, studs or anti-slip hoof flex inserts are suitable for shod horses on snowy and slippery ground. You can also buy these in our online shop.
