Product Description
Western bit made of stainless steel, anatomically shaped with light port and copper inserts. Double-jointed mouthpiece with roller. The roller is used to calm horses with a restless mouth. Thickness 11mm. Ring size 80mm.
The cuff with roller acts on the centre of the tongue and rolls downwards on it. The two sides of the mouthpiece move independently of each other, allowing the rider to lift one side of the bit away from the tongue towards the ark. This allows one side of the horse to be isolated and one shoulder to be lifted. Compared to a traditional double-jointed mouthpiece, the collar distributes the pressure much more gently. When the reins are shortened, the mouthpiece turns fully on the tongue to apply the necessary pressure and teach the horse to yield to the pressure of the bit on the neck. The bit rings act directly when the reins are shortened, the identical pressure on the reins is transmitted to the horse's mouth. The straight side of the eggbutt ring prevents the bit from being pulled through.
