WHICH BOOTS ARE SUITABLE FOR RIDING?
Riding boots are the all-rounders for the yard and are well suited for riding alongside long riding boots and Jodphur boots. Apart from your own comfort factor, it is important that the riding boot is not too clunky, otherwise it will not fit in the stirrup. The sole must also be non-slip and have a slight heel of 1 to 2 cm. This prevents the foot from slipping through the stirrup and causing dangerous accidents. Trainers are not suitable for riding due to the lack of a heel and stability at the ankle!
In addition, riding boots should ideally reach over the ankle so that the ankle remains yard. The necessary stability and durability of the boot is provided by the right material, which is why we rely on genuine leather and robust as well as high-quality PU material for our riding boot styles. A high-quality footbed with shock-absorbing properties is also important to prevent foot pain during the daily hours with the horse.
The riding boots and yard boots that you can buy online at Kramer Equestrian are designed for all-round use at the yard and in the saddle. They have a very wide range of uses, from riding to yard work.
WHICH RIDING BOOTS CAN BE WORN WITH HALF-CHAPS?
Ankle-high yard and riding boots with a small heel can be combined with half-chaps. The heel keeps the foot strap of the chaps in place. If you don't want to give up the advantages of long riding boots, you can wear your riding boots or Jodphur boots with half-chaps or gaiters.
WHICH YARD BOOTS ARE WATERPROOF?
When working at the yard and roaming through wet paddocks, it is easy to get wet feet. A good yard boot should therefore have waterproof properties. In addition to a waterproof membrane, a gusseted tongue is recommended to prevent water from penetrating through the instep of the foot. In our yard boot collection you will find boots with waterproof membranes as well as boots made of robust and impregnable or waxed leather.
WHICH RIDING BOOTS ARE SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?
Children who are just learning to ride need support around their ankles. An ankle-high, sturdy riding boot prevents twisting both on the ground and in the stirrups and is therefore as much a part of the child's safety as a riding hat and riding gloves.
When buying children's riding boots, look for a small heel. At the beginning of their riding career, children are not able to maintain a correct foot position in the stirrup. A 2 cm heel prevents the foot from slipping through the stirrups.
Children's half-chaps, which you can buy in different colours in our online shop, go well with the riding boots.
WHAT YARD BOOTS ARE THERE FOR CHILDREN?
Children need easy-care and robust yard boots that can cope with their active everyday life at the yard. At the same time, children quickly outgrow their shoe size. So instead of buying expensive leather riding shoes, go for stable shoes with hard-wearing PU uppers as an alternative. Sturdy footwear is especially important for children, as they cannot yet properly assess dangers and are better protected from horses' hooves with good yard boots.
