Close-meshed 2-in-1 fly rug with effective cut, extended side panels and protective belly flap as well as a removable neck piece to protect against annoying flies. The V fastening with snap hooks and additional hook-and-loop fastener in the chest area keeps the rug securely in place. The detachable neck piece can be attached to the headcollar at the neck with an elasticated, adjustable loop. In the shoulder area, along the mane and in the tail flap, the rug also has a glossy and coat-friendly lining. On particularly hot days, cooling pads can also be integrated into this rug to keep the horse pleasantly cool. To do this, the inserts are placed in water until they are fully soaked. Wring them out gently and attach them to the neck piece and along the sides of the body using the hook-and-loop fasteners inside the rug. After approx. 20-30 minutes, the cooling effect takes full effect and the pads should only then be placed in the rug. Despite the use of water, the pads feel cool but not wet. Thanks to the cut-outs in the kidney area and along the back line, the sensitive muscles of the horse are protected and illnesses or tension are prevented. The effect lasts as long as the material is damp. This can vary depending on the outside temperature and sunlight. The cooling pads become stiff after drying and are only suitable for use when damp! When dry, they must not be bent or folded! Can protect against overheating. This rug is no substitute for responsible behaviour in summer! Do not turn your horse out on particularly hot days if there is no shade. Horses that spend a lot of time outside in the heat or even romp around cannot be protected from overheating even with a cooling rug. We recommend that senior horses or horses with circulatory problems should first be slowly acclimatised to the use of cooling pads. The water in which the insert is immersed should not be too cold. The cooling effect for the horse is deliberately kept to a mild level in order to avoid circulatory problems. Before using the rug with the cooling inserts, slowly acclimatise the horse to the use of the cooling pads. The rug is not suitable for cooling down a horse that has become overheated after work.
