Complementary feed for horses.
Our sugar- and grain-free pellets consist of 95% protein-rich cyanobacteria (known as spirulina), which is now recognised as a true superfood as it provides essential, natural amino acids, minerals and vitamins. Spirulina can have detox properties as it can help eliminate toxins and positively support liver function. It can also promote healthy digestion and have a positive effect on the immune system.
The flax expeller contained in our spirulina pellets improves taste. We recommend feeding Original Landmühle spirulina pellets especially to poor doers or older horses that can use the additional nutrient yield or to horses that are currently building muscle or have problems building muscle due to illnesses such as myopathy. The preparation can also be a useful supplement to the basic feed during the seasonal change of coat.
As Cyanobacterium has a protein content of around 50%, we do not recommend feeding it to horses that have to be fed a low-protein diet. We recommend slow feeding via concentrated feed or mash, especially for fussy eaters, as spirulina has an intense flavour of its own.
Feeding advice:
- Large horses with 600kg bw approx. 40g daily
- 1 measuring spoon corresponds to approx. 25g.

Crude protein 50%, crude fat 7%, crude fibre 4.1%, sodium 0.9%, crude ash 7.5%, lysine 2.5%, methionine 2.3%, phosphorus 0.95%, magnesium 0.25%, calcium 0.2%.
