In cases of mud fever, sweet itch and older skin injuries, scabs often stubbornly adhere and stick to the hair, covering the affected areas of the skin. They thus hinder a useful treatment of the underlying pathogens. Extremely thin oils of KERALIT Keralysin Ointment infiltrate the scab layers, soften and loosen them. These can then be removed without mechanical irritation or injury to the skin, often after a single application overnight. Additionally prescribed disinfectants or medicinal products can only then achieve their optimal effect. KERALIT Keralysin Ointment has proven to be very useful, especially for Friesians or other horses with feathering in the crook of the fetlock, as it is not necessary to remove this for treatment.
