Our Fly Mask Sun Shield is therefore a combination of strong, fine-woven ripstop mesh and breathable 600 denier Oxford polyester material: The ripstop mesh in the eye and nostril area (anatomically shaped) reliably protects the horse from insect intrusion and blocks at least 60% of UV radiation while providing optimum visibility. The spacer seams ensure a safe distance from the eyes.The Oxford polyester material on the top of the head, nostrils and cheek area even blocks 97% of UV radiation and corresponds to a UPF of 50+ (roughly comparable to a sun protection cream). Perfect fit and wearing comfort thanks to double hook-and-loop fastener and forelock cut-out.100% polyester.
